Manual / Cardless payments Follow

Can a payment be processed without the card being present, ie. Card number, expiry date and cvv number?

  • Hi Manuel. Great question! Unfortunately, at this point in time, all Yoco transactions are card present transactions, meaning that the card has to be present to process any transaction. 

    That said, we do want to offer cardless payment functionality in future. I'm not able to offer any timelines, but it's definitely on the radar.

    Has there been any progress with offering Manual Transactions?

     

    I run a guesthouse and receive credit card details from booking agents. I am entitled to run the transaction at the time of the booking (as per Ts&Cs the guest enters into at the time of the booking), but I'm unable to do this on my Yoco without the card.

    On occasion we run into no show guests. I know for a fact this will be avoided if payment is transacted at the time of the booking.

  • We were also hoping that Yoco had this functionality because companies send their staff for accommodation and send us a virtual credit card.

  • We also run a small guest house.  Being able to capture Virtual Credit cards are a must.  Please advise when you will be able to offer this feature.

    Unfortunately, André is no longer working at Yoco.

    In response to the questions regarding virtual/manual card transactions.

    This is something we are going to be looking at in the future, I cannot give you a timeline on this functionality at this time. This kind of feature requires a lot of work in the background to make it as secure as possible. We will be sure to keep everyone in the loop regarding future features and services that we will be offering.
