Features in Beta

Using Yoco Payments Plugin in your online store

You can now accept payments with Yoco in your online store. Integrate the Yoco payment plugin into your Woocommerce Wordpress website and start accepting online payments immediately.

IMPORTANT: This product is currently in beta.

This means it is open to a select number of merchants, and it may still have some limitations.

During beta period only, we are offering reduced fees when using this product. You will be charged the same fees as your card machine fees. This rate will be adjusted before launch, which we will communicate well in advance.

How does it work?

Once you integrate the Yoco payment plugin into your store, your customer will see a new Yoco payment method on your checkout page. When your customer chooses to pay via Yoco, a pop-up appears onscreen. They enter their credit or debit card details, click submit and then complete 3D-Secure authorisation with a One-Time-Pin. After payment, your customer is redirected to the ‘Checkout Result’ page, and they also receive an email to confirm payment status.

For more information, see the Wordpress Store

What are the fees?

Online payments are usually more expensive than in-person payments, but for the beta period only, you will be charged the same fees as your current card machine fees. The fees will change; we will communicate any changes in fees well in advance.

How do I get paid?

All payments are linked to your existing Yoco Account and money will be paid out within 48 hours as part of your usual settlements.

What cards are accepted?

All VISA and MasterCard cards that are 3D Secure enabled are accepted, including international cards. AMEX and Diners are not currently accepted. Note that all payments need to be in South African Rands.
