The SMS notifications you receive when doing a transaction are determined by your bank and can depend on the package you are on.
If you run a test transaction with Yoco and do not receive an SMS notification from your bank it could be for the following reasons:
- Your package with your bank does not qualify you to receive SMS notifications.
- Your package with your bank does not qualify you to receive SMS notifications when transaction sizes fall below a certain value.
- Your bank's SMS system may be temporarily down.
- Some banks only send SMS notifications for transactions that exceed R100, for example, FNB. See FNB's inContact terms here.
If you are concerned that you are not receiving SMS' for your test transactions please contact your bank.
If your customers' do not receive SMS' from their banks when using Yoco, please advise them to contact their bank support centre.
