Bluetooth Card Machines

Troubleshooting for the Yoco Pro, Yoco Go, and Yoco Lite card machines.

Error Message Troubleshooting

Error Message: "System Tampered"

System_Tampered.png

The card machines have a tamper-detection system that detects unauthorised manipulation or attempted fraud using the card machine. If a 'System Tampered' message pops up on the screen of your card machine, it will no longer work. The detection system will trigger when somebody tries to crack open the case or tampers with the chip reader.

Due to the sensitivity of the detection system, it may trigger if the card machine is dropped, or if it falls. It can also trigger if there is an electrical surge whilst the card machine is charging.

Unfortunately, we're not able to fix a card machine that displays this error message. If your card machine is displaying this error, please get in touch with us via Live Chat directly from our website or help centre, to arrange a replacement.

IMPORTANT Should this error occur, we'll arrange for the collection of the card machine and assess the cause. If we deem the error to have been triggered due to a manufacturing error or electrical surge, and the card machine is still within its 2-year warranty, we'll replace it. However, if the card machine is returned to Yoco with visible damage marks from being dropped or having fallen, we'll invoice you for the replacement.

Error Message: "Protected Mode"

If a 'Protected Mode' message pops up on the screen of your card machine, it will no longer work as it has incurred electrical, physical, or water damage and won’t be able to operate.

Unfortunately, we're not able to fix a card machine that displays this error message. Please get in touch with us via Live Chat directly from our website or help centre, to arrange a replacement.

Please note that if a replacement is done and upon inspection of the damaged card machine it is found to be due to negligence, we will then provide you with an invoice for the replacement card machine.
