Bluetooth Card Machines

Troubleshooting for the Yoco Pro, Yoco Go, and Yoco Lite card machines.

My card machine is frozen

Your card machine can freeze on multiple screens. In this case, you will need to reset your card machine with a different reboot option. Identify the screen your card machine has frozen on, and then follow the specific troubleshooting steps below.

IMPORTANT: when you are resetting your card machine do not use something sharp, as this damages the reset button. Please use a paper clip/earring etc that has a flat head.

Frozen on a blank screen

If your Yoco Card Machine's screen is completely blank, here are some troubleshooting tips to try and fix it:

  1. Check the battery level of the machine.
If the battery has drained completely you will not be able to turn the machine on. Charge your card machine from a wall socket for 3 to 4 hours (Yoco Pro and Yoco Lite) or 1 hour (Yoco Go), and check to see if the red charging light comes on.

  2. Reset your card machine.
If after charging for the recommended hour(s), and the screen does not turn on, unplug and reset your Yoco card machine. Select 'Option 1: Power up as normal' from the menu. Once the screen says "Yoco", run a test transaction of R1.00.

  3. Was the card machine damaged?
If the card machine does not display any options on the screen after completing the reset please check the exterior of the card machine for any dents/deep scratches. If the card machine has taken a hard fall, it may have damaged the internal workings and impacted the screen.

If none of these tips are working, your card machine will most likely need to be replaced. Please contact our support team via Live Chat directly from our website or help centre to action this. If the card machine is still within its warranty period, we'll replace it for you. However, please note that if the card machine is returned to Yoco with visible damage marks from being dropped or fallen, we'll invoice you for the replacement
